Reflection
Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path.
I have sworn an oath and confirmed it,
to observe your righteous ordinances.
I am severely afflicted;
give me life, O Lord, according to your word.
Accept my offerings of praise, O Lord,
and teach me your ordinances.
I hold my life in my hand continually,
but I do not forget your law.
The wicked have laid a snare for me,
but I do not stray from your precepts.
Your decrees are my heritage forever;
they are the joy of my heart.
I incline my heart to perform your statutes
forever, to the end (Psalm 119:105-112).
In Your word, a lamp to guide my way,
I find solace, for in darkness I roam.
Your truth, a beacon that never will sway.
.
With each step, I seek Your will, I obey,
Seeking refuge in the path You have shown.
In Your word, a lamp to guide my way.
.
Amidst turmoil, when doubts cause my heart to sway,
Your promises, a steadfast cornerstone.
Your truth, a beacon that never will sway.
.
Though adversaries rise, I will not stray,
For Your statutes, O Lord, I will make known.
In Your word, a lamp to guide my way.
.
Your testimonies I cherish, day by day,
And meditate upon them, I've grown.
Your truth, a beacon that never will sway.
.
With a steadfast heart, I choose to stay,
To follow Your commands, never alone.
In Your word, a lamp to guide my way,
Your truth, a beacon that never will sway.
.
Though trials may come, I will not be dismayed,
For Your word, O Lord, my strength and my shield.
Your precepts, my guide, in You I'm portrayed.
.
I've sworn to keep Your righteous judgments displayed,
And my devotion to You is revealed.
Though trials may come, I will not be dismayed.
.
Your love and grace, my soul's thirst quenched and stayed,
In Your presence, my spirit is healed.
Your precepts, my guide, in You I'm portrayed.
.
The path of righteousness, I have embraced,
Walking closely with You, my heart is sealed.
Though trials may come, I will not be dismayed.
.
Oh, how sweet is Your word, my soul persuades,
In every season, Your truth is revealed.
Your precepts, my guide, in You I'm portrayed.
.
With joy and delight, I seek to obey,
In Your light, my path forever sealed.
Though trials may come, I will not be dismayed.
Your precepts, my guide, in You I'm portrayed.
PRAYER: Ancient Gardener, your holy word is planted in our hearts as good seed in fertile soil. So nurture us that we may bear fruit abundantly. Amen.
