O Lord, make us have perpetual love and reverence for your holy Name, for you never fail to help and govern those whom you have set upon the sure foundation of your loving-kindness; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Reflection
The voice of my beloved!
Look, he comes,
leaping upon the mountains,
bounding over the hills.
My beloved is like a gazelle
or a young stag.
Look, there he stands
behind our wall,
gazing in at the windows,
looking through the lattice.
My beloved speaks and says to me:
“Arise, my love, my fair one,
and come away,
for now the winter is past,
the rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth;
the time of singing has come,
and the voice of the turtledove
is heard in our land.
The fig tree puts forth its figs,
and the vines are in blossom;
they give forth fragrance.
Arise, my love, my fair one,
and come away (Song of Solomon 2:8-13).
In fragrant gardens, blooming with delight,
Two lovers meet beneath the moonlit sky,
Their hearts ablaze, entwined in passion’s light,
Their souls aflame, as love begins to fly.
.
Behold, the voice of my beloved near,
He leaps across the mountains, swift and free,
Like bounding deer, he swiftly draws me near,
His tender words, a sweet melody.
.
Arise, my love, the winter now has passed,
The rain is gone, the flowers now arise,
The time of singing birds has come at last,
Their joyful songs, a chorus to our eyes.
.
The fig tree blossoms, vines are in full bloom,
Love’s tender whispers echo through this room.
PRAYER: O Lord, mercifully receive the prayers of your people who call upon you, and grant that they may know and understand what things they ought to do, and also may have grace and power faithfully to accomplish them; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
