I feel much of the problem of today’s churches dying is caused by the tendency of church leaders to try to hide and spin negative happenings within their domain until it blows up. Like staff who lie, moving and promoting embezzlers and sex abusers to a different church, paying absurd amounts of money to not talk about things that happen in church, etc. Unbelievers and believers and believers both are turned off the church by this. Not to mention the pastors who verbally, spiritually and emotionally abuse woman who try to rise above their “proper” station and proclaim God. I feel those pastors who commit that kind of abuse are not fit for ministry. If that is judging, so be it.
